Dominica – Soufriere Bay

I knew that on our day trip to the southwest part of the island leading to Scott Head that we would pass by Soufriere Bay.

And, on the way, we actually noticed the church first and as we walked around, we realized that we were next to the Bubble Beach Spa.

The colorful church is built out of volcano stones and sits on a large green park area facing the water allowing it to have exterior celebrations.

Despite the fact that it was just after a service, the surroundings were very quiet and the spa was closed due to limited visitors, I guess.

Soufriere Bay is likely to be a good snorkeling area since some locals were getting ready. Of course, we did not plan to go snorkeling and had left our equipment at the rental home. It is a small beach with warm water due to the Sulphur Springs. We walked away but the place is neat and charming.
