335, Place d’Youville
On Place d’Youville, you can find an old fire station. The fire station opened in 1904. It is not the oldest, nor the headquarters, but a station with style. It has been closed since 1972 and used until recently as the Montreal History Center Museum but the museum has been moved to another location. It is unclear what the future holds for the nice looking century-old station.
The museum is a step back in time to 1535 and presents the evolution, the context of the time and major events with the people’s reaction and life style.
