Ottawa – Canada Aviation and Space Museum

11 aviation parkway

Located in the former military base, the museum includes more than a hundred aircraft in addition to photos, and stories of linked civilian and military. Enthusiasts of the subject circulate in the museum ready to give you explanations and share their personal experiences. Founded in 1964, the museum goes back to the beginning of aviation history in Canada from 1909 to the present day when we are now conquering space.

The museum is linked to the runways of the Ottawa-Rockcliffe airport and plane rides were optional during our visit. There are no more military activities at this station since 1994 but the museum has kept some planes.

I was surprised by the knowledge of the subject of some young visitors. For those passionate about aviation and/or the military, it is certainly a place to visit.
