Located in the palace of the Lords of Gruuthuse, its construction dates back to the 15th century and part of the premises was used for the production of beer.
Today, the museum is a throwback to the lifestyles of wealthy people in the region from the 15th to the 19th century.
The museum has a collection of furniture, weapons, silverware, pictures, musical instruments and much more to show the context.
