On a rainy day, we decided to visit the Natural History Museum. Lucky for us it was free on the day of our visit. We were welcomed by Gus the Tortoise who was in the open area of the first section of the museum. A bit shy, he did not make a move during our visit. The first room was inviting and provided information in a nice way.
The museum displays some live animals, taxidermy, skeletons of local wildlife along with information on the extinct mammoth. Minerals have a section reserved to showcase the variety and a part of the exhibition is about Sable Island.
The museum is definitely for a younger audience and some subjects could be more descriptive.
