What a privilege and status a building has to be attached to the historical Powder Gate. Well first, the classy stylish building sits at the location of the Royal Court Palace where the King of Bohemia once resided back in 1383 to 1485. Thus explaining the connection to the Powder Gate. Second, rebuilding on this site was probably a challenging project. Since the previous building was demolished, it was really a new beginning architecturally. The Art Nouveau multifunctional complex was opened in 1912 and presents beautiful details in its exterior and other reviews give great comments on the interior art works that I missed.
The building offers concert halls, exhibition halls, restaurants, cafes, bars and more. The outside showcases unique artwork of a semi-circle mosaic over a decorative wrought iron balcony railing and lighting posts.
