501, Place d’Armes
Smaller version of the Empire State Building – it always makes me smile 🙂
This art deco limestone (commonly used in the area) building is located in the historic part of Place d’Armes in Old Montreal. You can’t miss the resemblance of this building to the Empire State Building in New York. It was completed the same year (1931) as the Empire State building for a New York City finance company.
This building is in the same neighborhood as the Notre-Dame Basilica.
