Asakusa
This charming old Edo-era shopping and pedestrian street is quieter than others around and has an old-world appeal. Near Senso-ji Temple, Denboin Dori is some 200 meters long and runs parallel to Nakamise Dori. A gate announces your arrival on the historic shopping street that ends at Denboin Temple.
On this street, there are a series of shops where you can find interesting souvenirs. According to some sources, some shops are legacies of past generations that continue the sale of traditional and artisanal products such as hairpins, quality combs, dishes, vases and more.
The name of the street is linked to the temple of the same name which is in fact the place of residence of the head priest of Senso-ji.
Chingo-do Shrine and Denboin temple are on this street.
