Visible from far away, this tower, which rises to 634 meters (2080ft) high, is relatively recent. It welcomed its first visitors in 2012, 4 years after the construction began.
While it is very popular for its observatory, the Skytree is much more. There is an aquarium, a planetarium, shops, restaurants and the Postal Museum where you can send a postcard with a stamp featuring the Skytree. Also, a few floors are reserved for office space.
With this impressive height, two observation levels are open to the public. At 350 meters “Tokyo Skytree Tembo deck” gives a panoramic view of the city and at 450 meters “Tokyo Skytree Tembo Galleria” allows you to see Mount Fuji on a clear day. This is the highest observatory in the city.
In addition, a glass floor gives you an unnatural view of the city, like walking in the air.
A gallery allows you to trace the history of the construction of the tower.
