A recognized site with its distinctive red sign is the renowned Radio City Music Hall which is part of Rockefeller Center. We think that success is simple but this site is a great example of commercial adaptation. I was surprised to learn that the inauguration evening was a source of frustration for many. Indeed, the event turned out to be too long to the point where several artists, spectators, journalists and managers left before the end. The criticism was very negative and the pressure of the following weeks was difficult to overcome.

Despite an unparalleled site, the business plan had to be reviewed two weeks after its opening. The promoters then chose to favor the cinema over the theater market. Radio City Music Hall (RCMH) became the venue for movie premieres. The stage show was less important but quietly integrated in parallel.

Major events such as the Grammy Awards, the Tony Awards, and the MTV Music Awards are some examples of large-scale ceremonies in addition to concerts that have been organized there. We see there today and even during our visit, in May 2023, university graduation ceremonies.

Also, we must not forget the Rockettes who, with their fame of synchronized high kicks, have been offering spectacular dance choreographies since 1932 at Radio City Music Hall, where their head office is located. The Christmas special is still coveted.
