New York City – Times Square

Broadway, 7th Avenue, 42nd and 47th Streets

A visit to New York must include a stop in Times Square. An extra-bright location that spans several streets and includes places of amusement, restaurants, shops, museums and theaters. It is here that the famous annual New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day countdown has occurred since 1907. Day or evening, there are lots of people and in the evening, it is like broad daylight. The billboards and advertisements’ digital LEDs illuminate so much that you no longer know where to look and you easily lose track of time.

Shops are open until late in the evening. We liked Hard Rock Café, Bubba Gump, Disney, M&M and Hersey’s as places to visit. We were treated to a free sample at M&M and Hersey’s. Fun, fun, fun!

If you can afford a show, in time and money, it is also the place to buy your tickets at the last minute at a discount and you are also close to the performance halls. Broadway theaters are known around the world for large-scale musical performances. Several years ago, I attended the performance of Les Miserables. What a memory to have once in your life.

Everywhere in town, we are in a hurry and here, we feel like walking in slow motion in order to see everything. Is the purpose of Times Square to take your time, have a good time, and be in tune with the times? It remains that the name of this urban space is named following the establishment of the daily New York Times.

In the evening, public entertainers get ready, surprise itinerant “stages” of in-house talent productions, mascots available for a photo for a few dollars, but beware of pickpockets. Also, you will probably come across the famous “cowboy” with his guitar in a simple outfit that consists of a hat, boots and underpants. He even makes law enforcement officers smile.

Two museums are nearby: Madame Tussauds and the Broadway Museum.

Located in Midtown Manhattan, just walk to the corner of 7th Avenue (Seventh Avenue) and 42nd Street and you’ll be there.

City tours are promoted on-site if you feel like it. They all start from this popular place.
